Ferro Chrome

Ferro Chrome (FeCr) is a ferro alloy composed of chromium and iron, typically containing 50-70% chromium by weight. It is produced through the carbothermic reduction of chromite in an electric arc furnace. More than 80% of global ferro chrome production is used in making stainless steel, and it is also utilized to add chromium to carbon steel.

There are two variants of Ferro Chrome:
  • High Carbon Ferro Chrome
  • Low Carbon Ferro Chrome
