Ferro Silicon

Ferro Silicon (FeSi) is an alloy composed of iron and silicon, typically containing 15-90% silicon by weight and a high proportion of iron silicides. It is produced by reducing silica or sand with coke in the presence of iron. Ferro Silicon is widely used in silicon production, corrosion-resistant and high-temperature-resistant ferrous silicon alloys, and silicon steel, essential for electromotors and transformer cores.
